Hi folks,

Welcome to the new forums!

I am Rob and I look after this site. Currently living in Sydney and trying to bring together all of the expertise we need to get this project off the ground.

Hopefully we can start organising some of the thoughts we have collected regarding the project to bring medical aid to remote island and coastal communities. Specifically, our first trip will be to the Gizo area in the Solomon Islands.

Ideally, we will have around 6 medical professionals and 4 boat crew for that trip, though these figures will likely be changed after the first trip.

Anyway, everyone has their own specific talents and knowledge base so please use the forum to share and discuss the ideas that we all need to hear!

And I'm Marty Sperow, Dave's wife and one of the directors of La Cima World Missions.  MediBoat has recently moved from the idea and vision stage to the more concrete planning stage.   I'm thrilled and can't wait for our first MediBoat trip!
