The following website has yielded an enormous amount of info on medical volunteer work in the Solomons.  Created by a Swiss head surgeon, Dr. Herrmann Oberli, who spent many years working in the Solomons, the text is bilingual for the most part (Swiss German and English) but some pages are in German only.

I find this website a rabbit hole which keeps on going and am not sure if I even found all the links although I tried hard!  I'm compiling the info and will post when ready.

The captions are German but if you move your cursor over the pic, you will see an English translation.
